Leicester City will be doing their best to ward off any interest in their prolific strike Jamie Vardy in the January transfer window…
City put a £30M price tag on the man who cost £1M from Fleetwood Town three and a half years ago, though some of the world’s biggest clubs are interested in this season’s Premier League scoring sensation.
Vardy has declared himself happy at Leicester, but since he broke the record for scoring in consecutive Premier League games last Saturday against Manchester United he has become an even hotter property.
Leicester will be looking to extend his contract, which already has two and a half years to go, and improve on his £40,000 a week wages, to reduce the temptation of a move away from the King Power Stadium.
Although City are far from being a one-man team, without his razor-sharp finishing they would not be in the lofty league position they are currently enjoying. It is absolutely vital that they retain the services of England’s Number Nine.
