Leicester City have announced this afternoon that leading goalscorer David Nugent has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The 29 year old has been leading scorer in all of his three seasons at Leicester, and last year’s total of 20 league goals was the highest since Gary Lineker was at the club.
The popular Liverpudlian told the LCFC official site: “I’m delighted to have signed for two years and I’m really looking forward to testing myself with the rest of the squad in the best league in the world.”
Nugent, who played in every league game for City last season, has been out of the Premier League for four years, making appearances for Portsmouth and Burnley in 2009-10.
