Deadline Day…

City have bought Nottingham Forest’s long-serving centre-half Wes Morgan for £1M…

This prompted the following responce form a Forest fan on Sabotage Times…
“Being Nottingham Forest’s longest serving player with more than 400 appearances to his name – Morgan’s passionate and talismanic displays have helped to him to become a cult figure on the terraces and remain a permanent fixture in the Forest defence for the last 8 and half years. You don’t need telling that a player of such experience would be crucial to us remaining in the Championship. So why then, have we sold him to our local rivals Leicester City?”

It appears that City have also won the race to sign Stoke’s highly rated young winger Ben Marshall, with the former Crewe Academy player signing a three and a half year deal. City are thought to have paid a fee of £750,000 rising to £1 million depending on promotion and appearances.
