Nigel Pearson was appointed manager of Leicester for a second time, the long-anticipated deal finally being ironed out this evening…
The 48 year old has signed a contract until the end of the 2013-14 season and will bring his assistants Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh back from Hull with him.
In his previous spell as City boss during the Milan Mandaric regime the former Middlesbrough player led the club to a very welcome instant return from League One as Champions and then achieved a Championship play-off at the first attempt.
After his Humberside sojourn Pearson now has the chance to pick up where he left off before his relationship with Mandaric deteriorated until he had little choice but to leave.
He will take training for the first time tomorrow morning in preparation for Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace.
