Darius Vassell Signs for City

Former England striker Darius Vassell has signed a deal that will see him at Leicester until the end of next season.

The 30 year old was a free agent after leaving Turkish side Ankaragucu at the end of last season and will be reunited with Sven-Goran Eriksson, who managed him for England and Manchester City.
Eriksson gave Vassell his first England cap in 2002 and the Sutton Coldfield born striker made 22 appearances for his country scoring 6 goals.
Vassell started his career with Aston Villa, the club he supported as a boy, and he scored 35 goals in 162 appearances for the Villains.
