City set to sign Japanese star

According to Japanese media sources City are on the verge of signing Japanese midfielder Yuki Abe.

City are reported to have made a firm offer for the 28-year-old, who is currently playing for Urawa Red Diamonds in the J -League. He appeared in all of Japan’s games in this summer’s World Cup in South Africa, taking him to 49 caps for his country.
Abe. who has broken two J-League records for youngest player and largest domestic transfer fee, has been rested by his his club suggesting that a move is imminent.
