Following on from the signings of Miguel Vitor, Leon Crncic and Moreno, Paulo Sousa has added another man to his squad, securing the services of defender Michael Lamey.
The Amsterdam-born Lamey, who has played for RKC Waalwijk and PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, impressed Sousa in a pre-season trial and played in the Sunderland game at right back.
Last season the 30 year old played for Arminia Bielefeld in the German Bundesliga.
Sousa said of his new signing: “He can help us improve quicker, especially in the first phase of our build-up and defensive organisation.”
Sousa has also admitted an interest in Slovenia captain Robert Koren who is no longer under contract for West Brom, though several other clubs are alerted to his availability.
