Mandaric Faces Third Charge

The Leicester Mercury’s front page headline today reveals that Milan Mandaric has again been accused of cheating the public revenue…

The latest Crown Prosecution Service charge against Mandaric, alongside former Portsmouth Football Club chief executive Peter Storrie, followed an investigation by City of London Police and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
Mandaric’s legal team issued a statement: “We are surprised and disappointed that the CPS has brought this charge against Milan Mandaric. It is without any foundation and will be robustly defended. Mr Mandaric has devoted many years of his life to English football, first at Portsmouth and now at Leicester City. We are confident he will emerge from these events fully vindicated and with his reputation for integrity and plain dealing completely intact.”
