The Jimmy Quinn Puzzle Page

In retrospect we may have been a bit harsh on Jimmy, who was the league’s top scorer with 33 goals when David Pleat bought him for £210,000 from Swindon in the summer of 1988.
Pleat seemed unwilling or unable to utilise Quinn’s strengths and he was left to rot on the bench before moving on to Bradford.

I have never understood where the myth grew up that Pleat was some sort of managerial genius. His time at leicester was blighted by huge inconsistency and duff signings.

    Interesting spelling of ‘refrigerator’ there.

You’d have got away with ‘fridge’.
