Hinckley United 1:4 Leicester City

Leicester City started their pre-season programme with a 4-1 win at Hinckley United on Tuesday night…
City had a totally different line-up for each half starting with: Conrad Logan, Ritchie De Laet, Cian Bolger, Tom Parkes, Paul Konchesky, Paul Gallagher, Andy King, Matty James, Jeff Schlupp, Marko Futacs, Martyn Waghorn.

City went ahead after 90 seconds when King was on hand to punish an error by United keeper Peel.
But after near misses from King and Waghorn, the sides went in level at half time following a well-taken equaliser from Green who curled in a 20 yarder.

City’s second half line-up was trialist keeper Dusan Pernis, Liam Moore, Lee Peltier, Wes Morgan, Tom Kennedy, Ben Marshall, Neil Danns, Danny Drinkwater, Lloyd Dyer. Jamie Vardy, David Nugent.
Marshall and Vardy both went close, before Nugent restored City’s lead in the 50th minute.

Nugent then set Vardy up for the third, and Marshall produced a trademark long-range effort into the corner to complete a 4-1 victory.
